After reading the post on “After Effects”, I wonder how much a photojournalist really needs it? The videos shown as examples were slick and, from a graphics standpoint, professionally done, but I think the effects tended to be OVERDONE and distracted from the storytelling.
Much like CGI in movies, if it doesn’t add to the story, its basically “eye candy”. Nothing wrong with a little candy now and then, but it can’t make up for bad imagery or the lack of a coherent story.
