Anna Di Prospero’s photography is luminous. Her photographs in “Instinct” speak of both the intimate and expansive, the feeling of being close and also reaching out towards nebulous space. There is an underlying anxiety and aggression beneath the sweet exterior of its peach palette, referencing the decay of fire and insects, the arcane claustrophobia of what it means to be trapped within our own bodies. The sensations of falling and drowning, or perhaps sheer suspension.
