Using the sea as a metaphor for the hazy future, these oneiric black-and-white images trace the untethered life of a military family and explore universal themes of belonging, of finding a place in the world

The surface of the water shifts, sometimes appearing mercurial or reflective, but always mysterious, figures disappearing into its depths. While I am photographing my children and friends, I am also photographing myself, moving in and out of focus, allowing the liquid world to illustrate my journey.
