MW What inspired you to start taking photographs, and what have been some of the most important milestones in your career up until now?...

The way I’m working, I think image to image, rather than about the whole project. And then later I can detect the gradual shifts that have taken place, and separate the work that way.

Several world auction records were set for works by contemporary artists, among them Richard Misrach ($98,500), Alex Prager ($30,000), Viviane Sassen ($6250), Mona Kuhn ($11,250) and Julie Blackmon ($8,750).
