Through photography and video, Antoine d’Agata distances himself from a sensational or dramatic approach. He gets right up close to the experience and the odyssey of these men and women. Their everyday lives consist of vagabond journeyings along roads, nights sheltered in makeshift tents, waiting for possible entry into port areas… However, the photographer is aware of the limitations of images, and adds words to them, just to be sure.
