Dies Irae is the first major retrospective exhibition dedicated to the work of Paolo Pellegrin. The show includes more than 150 images through which he tells us many of his stories and reportages. He has become a symbol of that authentic photojournalism (Magnum) that is not afraid of documenting the world by bravelesly staring at it in the eyes.

That’s the idea behind Push Pop Press, a digital creation tool made by ex-Apple engineers who are about to blow up the concept of the book — with some help from Al Gore, who sits on Apple’s board of directors.
Developed by former Apple employees Mike Matas and Kimon Tsinteris, Push Pop Press will be a publishing platform for authors, publishers and artists to turn their books into interactive iPad or iPhone apps — no programming skills required.

You’d almost think it was the first time journalists had been killed in the line of duty, but it wasn’t – it was just the first time, in a long time, that western journalists with names like “Tim” and “Chris” were killed.
In fact, two Arab journalists were killed in Libya last month, but their names, Mohammed al-Nabbous, and Ali Hassan al-Jaber, haven’t gotten a glimmer of the attention that Tim and Chris have seen.
