Failed to place in POYi? Share your grief here.

Okay, I have accepted the finality of the matter. I failed to place in any of the categories entered in the annual POYi (Pictures of the Year International) competition. This is the point where I could vent my frustrations against the judges and claim the tired excuses that “only the overseas stuff ever wins,” or the “what the???” but I’m going to keep my head up high and know that in my own little world of photojournalism, I had a good year, and I’m proud of the photographs that I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to bring you, our readers, everyday.
