With some 500,000 iPads sold in the first week, it is already proving to be a significant tool for the creative community. So, we wanted to write and let you know what we are doing about it.
As of last week, your liveBooks website is now automatically viewable by both the iPhone and the iPad. It’s good, but not great. So in May, we will be launching what we think is a great version that supports finger swipe, rotation and bookmarks as well as allowing you the choice of theme and background/homepage color and home screen icon. With this release your site will look and behave like what we’ve come to understand as an iPhone experience. And, it’s free!
Also in May we are enabling linking between a specific image on your liveBooks website to external e-commerce sites such as your ImageSpanTM account for licensing images, an EtsyTM page for selling your handmade items, Felt & Wire ShopTM for selling your paper goods, or your lab of choice for prints.
In short, we are providing ubiquitous, ‘device independent’ access to your website with an ability for you to tie that site image-by-image to any and all back-end services that you want.
