Behind the Lens with Michael Rubenstein

The shift to photography wasnʼt a natural one for Michael. He recalled a meeting with Oregonian photographer Faith Cathcart for a critique on his early portfolio which left him with less than encouraging advice. “It was awful, it was terrible…she told me that I didnʼt have a chance” he recalled her words “ʻNot everyone can do this, you should try something else.ʼ”
