The Australian Broadcasting Corporation has released undercover video depicting living conditions in North Korea. The video shows grimy children begging, laborers building a private rail system intended to serve as a wedding gift for Kim Jong-un (son and heir of dictator Kim Jong-il), and an official shaking down a private market stall for rice for hungry soldiers.

Workflow: Adobe Premiere Intro and FCP 7 roundtrip
I thought I’d put a quick little video up on the blog showing how you can roundtrip back and forth between both apps via XML. If you have an FCP 7 project and want to use Premiere or After Effects – you can do so in seconds. If you then want to send that project back to FCP 7 and grade it in Color for example – again, you can do so with a few keystrokes via XML. I didn’t know this until a few months ago, and I also wasn’t aware of how similar both editors are to one another. Doing a basic with either tool is extremely similar in fact – Premiere even comes with both FCP and AVID keystroke sets to make those going back and forth more “at home.” The video below serves as a quick intro to Premiere as well.

On Revolution Road
Yesterday, on the final night of the LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph in Charlottesville, Va., the curated work of more than 20 photographers was shown to an audience of 2,000 during a special 2-hour projection on the festival’s 40-foot main screen. TIME contract photographer Yuri Kozyrev’s photographs from Yemen, Egypt, Bahrain and Libya were presented in a short film, On Revolution Road, after a moment of silence for the photographers who had given their lives since the festival last convened in 2009.
