There is magic in the work of Daniel W. Coburn. I have been a devoted disciple of his work, sharing his projects (and book) on Lenscratch, in classes and thinking about particular images for way too long. Daniel’s new series, Becoming a Specter, is an exciting extension of his earlier projects, this time creating a body of work that is other-worldly, filled with mystery and beauty and the wonder of light and water and being connected to the natural world, and more importantly, himself. The image below is breathtaking, referencing the past but is uniquely his own, sensual and timeless in the best way.
