Then again, Magnum has met the challenges of technological and business changes since its inception, as detailed in an exhibit at the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas in Austin and a separate book, “Reading Magnum: A Visual Archive of the Modern World,” from the University of Texas Press. Together, they explore the agency’s evolution as it strove to remain true to its original mission of empowering photographers to do meaningful work.
