A plastic auto-focus camera freed Ken Heyman to shoot New York City streets from odd angles, often going unnoticed by his subjects.

Ken Heyman: “They’re pretty aggressive pictures,” he said. “You got to put the camera down on the ground in front of somebody, and that is a fairly aggressive act. I didn’t like doing that.”
